About BR1M.

BR1M or “Bantuan Rakyat 1 Malaysia” program is devised by Prime Minster Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as part of Government effort to ease burden of lower income group in Malaysia. The Barisan National Government has always been listening to plight of the poor people and thus a program has to be devised to help the lower income group cushion the high cost of living in Malaysia.

Recently, the Barisan National Government has disbursed billions of ringgits for the welfare of low income Malaysians.


This aid is opened to Malaysians female or male who are leading the responsibility for a household. The people may includes

  • Senior citizens
  • Single person ( divorced,bachelor, single parent) with dependencies
  • Single parents ( father or mother)
  • Married ( this includes married couple who are still living with father or mother)

To be eligible for the “Bantuan Rakyat 1 Malaysia” aid , the household income of recipient must be lower than RM 4000.

BR1M 2018: Apply Online

Although BR1M 2018 has been issued to the public via the IRB statement, there are still some eligible persons but have not yet applied online. Those who have not applied will need to apply.

BR1M 2018 program

The Kampar MCA division will host the “BR1M 2018” program in April, specifically to help the people in the Kampar Parliamentary constituency to complete their application and appeal on the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M).

Malaysians support BR1M.

A BR1M survey was held among the people to find out what the people wanted.

KAJIDATA Research conducted the study. The results show that out of 1,031 Malaysians surveyed, about 50.8% asserted that they are the BR1M beneficiaries. Between 30% have BR1M five times, 15.3% paid 4 times, 20% got 3 times, 20.2% 2 times, and 14.5% once received.  It’s no surprise that many support and welcome BR1M.

KAJIDATA Advisor, Professor Dato ‘Sri. Syed Arabi Idid concluded that people are happy and positive to the BR1M program. The reason BR1M can indeed support the rising cost of living.

RM308 million for Televisions.

The Malaysian government started a project that would spend RM308 million on the purchase of 2.2 million MYTV decoders. This project aims to distribute TV to BR1M recipients 2018.

Prime Minister Najib Razak said  that by entering the digital age, the world would be a better place. Furthermore BR1M TV service is free and without monthly charges. This has enabled the lower income group to stay connected without having to worry about additional bill payments for their expenses.

The Future of BR1M.

The Prime Minister has affirmed that BR1M program will be continued for years as Malaysia’s revenue continues to increase.
